Children’s Liturgy

Children’s Liturgy is offered at the 9.15 Sunday Mass in order to present the Gospel at the level understood by the children.

Baptism Preparation

Baptism Preparation is offered to those who are looking forward to bringing their child for baptism.

Preparation for First Sacraments

Preparation for the Sacrament of Reconcilliation and First Holy Communion takes place in Saint Joseph’s Primary School. It is led by catechists from the parish on Tuesday afternoons after lessons have finished. The sessions usually begin in the Autumn term.

Confirmation Preparation

Confirmation Preparation is usually held in the period after Easter. The sessions take place on Saturday mornings, and are open to young people who are in year 9 or above.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the course of our Journey in Faith which is especially directed to those adults who are hoping to enter into full membership of the Catholic Church. The course begins in November each year, and runs until Easter, when those taking part are received into the Church. The RCIA programme itself is run as a collaboration between the three parishes of Saint Alban’s, Saint Joseph’s and Saint Peter’s, usually taking place at Saint Peter’s Church on Tuesday evenings.
